 JOB TITLE: Executive Officer/Clerk to the Council

 SALARY: Salary range LC2 – SCP 29/30 (£32,910 / £33,782) pro-rata (depending on qualifications/experience)

HOURS: Part time 16/18 hours per week

Selborne Parish Council is recruiting for an Executive Officer/Clerk to the Council.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with good interpersonal skills and a community focus. Essential skills are in IT, finance and administration. Training can be given in our accounting software (AdvantEdge).

We are keen to support ongoing training but ideally looking for a Clerk/RFO with previous experience in the role or CiLCA qualified (or willing to become qualified within 18 months).

The Parish Council is an active and busy Council. With a small office available in Selborne, this is also an interesting opportunity to work from home, providing the full range of Parish Council responsibilities to Selborne Parish Council and its three rural villages, Selborne, Oakhanger and Blackmoor.

Parish Council meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month with a separate Planning Committee meeting on the 1st Wednesday. Other additional meetings are held occasionally.

We are offering 25 days holiday per year (pro rata) and enrolment into the Local Government Pension Scheme.
