Speedwatch

Selborne has a thriving Speedwatch group which is run by a team of volunteers and supported by the Police.

Volunteers work in teams of at least three to record the speed, make model and number plate of offending vehicles. Sessions are organised according to availability and vary during the year according to who is available. Volunteers can do as many or as few sessions as they like. Every two months we try to run a full day of sessions which acts as an effective deterrent as well as providing interesting and useful data.

We need volunteers who can do either regular sessions throughout the year, allowing for periods of unavailability, as well as people who can join us on an occasional basis for the  full day sessions.

For details of how to get involved or for further information about the scheme please contact Jan Earney janearney@aol.com

Volunteers from Oakhanger and Blackmoor  are needed for schemes to be set up in each of the villages. Please contact the Clerk initially for details clerk@selborneparishcouncil.gov.uk
